Kirtlington Golf Club Senior Section

Welcome to Kirtlington Golf Club Senior Section

   Senior Section Captain: James Wilson

The Kirtlington Senior Section consists of a group of people who share a common goal. That is to enjoy playing golf in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

This web site is intended for existing members, new members and potential members. It aims to give an overview of what we do and how we do it. The web site also acts as a reference source recording winners of trophies, match results etc. Take a look at the various sections, we hope you find them useful.

To join the Senior Section you need to be a member of Kirtlington Golf Club and at least 55 years old. If you are interested in joining us then please either contact us via the club shop or send us a note with your details via the Contact us page of this web site. We'd be delighted if you joined us.

Our aim is to promote the game of golf to senior members of the golf club, encouraging friendship and an atmosphere that ensures a collective enjoyment of the game which is played in a fair but competitive spirit. Members are encouraged to participate in the many activities including the numerous monthly competitions (Stablefords and Medals), matches that are played regularly in the Summer months and the less formal monthly Roll Ups, where you will get the chance to play with different members. We'd encourage you to get involved - new members are always welcomed.

Our membership consists of players of all ages and ability. Some play only occasionally, but most are fully active, playing several times a week. 'Seniors Day' is a Thursday, when Medals, Stablefords and Roll Ups are played. However most days of the week a number of Senior Section members are out on the course. If you do fancy a game then the club shop will always find you a seniors member who would be more than happy to invite you to join them.

The Senior Section Committee is elected annually and is made up of a cross section of people fully committed to ensure the smooth running of the Senior Section. Their details are in the Our Committee - who does what page of this web site. (Please use the link above or the menu on the left to go there). They are always happy to hear new ideas, so do not hesitate to contact them at any time.

Finally, we hope you enjoy your time as a Kirtlington Senior and look forward to seeing you on the course or in one of the many competitions or events.

Please note that this web site is intended for the benefit the KGC Senior Section members.

It is an additional place for communicating information about competitions, matches, social events etc.
